• Does Teak need any maintenance  ? –  Depending on the UV or moisture exposure – we recommend a coat of oil when you first place the table and every two years  re apply the oil to protect the look and feel of the table. If you don’t you can always simply sand the top down and have it back to the original look when ever required.

Olefin Fabric

The production of Olefin fabric is environmentally friendly. The manufacturing process creates very little waste, and the fibre is 100% recyclable: it can be re-extruded into new yarn up to ten times.

Olefin is an exceptional performer when it comes to dealing with water. It does not absorb moisture and it dries very quickly. (If you live in areas that get a heavy dose of rainfall, you can breathe a sigh of relief that your cushions won’t stay soggy after a passing shower.) Olefin also wicks away moisture and sweat, which ensures you won’t stick to your chair on hot summer days.

Colorfast fabrics made with olefin which have been UV stabilised will stay bright and beautiful for years, rain or shine.

The following applies to all cushions supplied with the outdoor furniture.

Please keep olefin dry, vacuum regularly, and avoid leaving in direct sunlight for long periods of time.  Always use a mild cleanser.  Before cleaning the cushions, brush away the loose dirt first. This will help to avoid rubbing in any existing dirt as the fabric is cleaned. If any spots or stains are noted, be sure to remove them right away using mild cleanser. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and allow filling to dry before further use.

Do not use solvent type cleaners, do not use machine wash or dry clean. Never apply heat to cushion fabrics.

To guard against fading, any outdoor furniture exposed to direct sunlight or the everyday elements, we recommend the use of outdoor furniture covers. For chairs exposed to direct sunlight or the everyday elements.

Teak furniture can remain outdoors in any climate year round, and can be left unfinished or protected. It will survive even the most extreme weather conditions. Teak in its natural state is virtually maintenance free. Over time, untreated teak furniture which is exposed to the sun will patina and turn a silvery, grey colour. This process is cosmetic and does not harm the strength or quality of the teak.
